FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR USB CHARGERS

What is the difference between a Sit N Charge slot USB cable and a generic USB extension?

Our Sit N Charge slot cables are more than just a USB extension.

  • Our cables have a thicker gauge wire inside the cable for faster charging.
  • Our female USB is lit by an LED for customer convenience.
  • Our steel slot cables are encased in Metal barrels that are exactly the size of the holes punched into slots for a Lock Barrel. Our cable will thread through an empty lock barrel.
Metal lock barrels are more secure and make a smaller hole to help eliminate tampering.

As for the power units that provide power, if you have 110 or 120 Volt inside your slot, we offer our single QC3 USB charger that puts out enough power for any phone or tablet.

When you provide charging power to a customer sitting at a slot, it is important that it works every time.  Some older chargers will not charge iPhones.  Our chargers do.

Power consumption and facts about Sit N Charge equipment

Sit N Charge provides from 5v to 9v DC power to USB outlets for phone charging. We use a single USB port charger that is a QC3 rated high speed charger, and we also use a 6 port QC3 high speed charger for charging up to 6 seats at at the same time.

The transformer that converts 120 Volts AC to  DC is an 18 watt transformer per USB slot in our 6 port charger. Our six port charger has 6 individual transformers inside, so the max watts per slot is 18 and the total watts per box is 108.

So, if electricity is 11 cents per Kilowatt  then 11 cents would power ten blackjack tables for an hour.  And, that is if there are 60 phones attached and charging.

A ten player poker table running at 24 hours, fully plugged in, charging maximum phones, would pencil out to 48 cents in electricity per day.

If you have a dedicated 15 amp 120v outlet available, one could power up to 14 of our 108 watt 6 port chargers on that circuit.  However, check with a certified electrician to verify the circuit size and total load on that system.  Most AC outlets can handle a 1,500 watt heater or hair dryer which is about the same wattage as 14 Sit N Charger 6 port chargers.

I hope this has been of some value in your evaluations of Sit N Chargeing systems.
